Do you offer cassette recordings?

For those looking for cassette recordings, our Audio-Only program does not offer this service. All of our recordings are digitally captured and published to high quality MP3 files. These files can be delivered online as a streaming or downloadable file. On CD-ROM we can provide more than 30 hours of recordings in MP3 format, which can be played through most of today’s portable players and even home DVD players. Of course you can always listen to these sessions through your computer. Back to the Questions.

How do you capture the audio?

Through our own innovative digital technology, we capture the audio direct from the microphone mixer provided by your AV contractor. Our recorders capture directly into compressed audio file formats and can be transferred directly to our audio production station through USB thumb drives. There are no moving parts and no tapes to tangle or break. Back to the Questions.

Can you produce PodCasts?

Yes we can. In combination with our six colocation web servers, we can post your audio content directly to the web within hours after the session is over. The content can be downloaded as an audio MP3 file to virtually every portable player on the market. Back to the Questions.

How many sessions can fit on a single CD-ROM?

With a session being one hour long on average, we are able to publish approximately 35 to 40 hours of audio. Back to the Questions.

What type of players can a listener use to hear the MP3 recordings?

Virtually every portable CD player made today can accept MP3 audio files. Even the most economical players from discount stores can play MP3s. Selected car stereos and even many of today’s home DVD players can handle MP3 files. Of course your computer can play all MP3 recordings. Back to the Questions.

Do you provide all of your own equipment or do you work with our AV provider?

Actually we do both. If your AV contractor will allow us to connect to their mixer or sound board we can capture the session through their microphones. If they prefer that we work separately, we can provide our own microphones that feed our recorders directly. Back to the Questions.

How do you support sales of these recordings?

ConventionDisc offers our onsite disc replication station, which includes an attractive display where we have our disc printing and replication systems. Discs can be produced with individual sessions or with a series of recordings to makeup a complete set. we also have our own six colocation hosting web servers where we can upload your content and make it available for streaming, Podcasts or pay-per-access downloads. All transactions are routed directly to the organizer. ConventionDisc will include order forms, promotional flyers and display signage for the replication station. Back to the Questions.
